12 Laws for a Greater Life
Gravity is one of the easiest universal laws for us to understand. As toddlers, we grapple with it while learning to stand, walk, and run. We toy with it further by knocking cups off our highchairs. We experiment with it while throwing things and learning to balance on two wheels.
Take a pen in your hand. Hold it out over the floor. You know, with great certainty, that when you let go, it will hit the floor—every time—without fail. You didn’t have to study physics to know that there’s a governing law of gravity on our planet.
In the summer of 2000, I had an epiphany that led to my study of a variety of less-obvious laws—guiding principles that, when given attention, accelerated my awareness of them. The Law of Thinking—thoughts become things. The Law of Attraction—harnessing the reticular activating system (RAS), which, when mastered, increases our ability to truly manifest our desires.
I began speaking up about my self-discoveries, only to find my way into rooms with people who had blazed the same trails, leading me to great resources for living a more intentional life—something I had only dabbled with in 1987 after reading Richard Bach’s “fiction” book Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah.
In August of 2000, I had another breakthrough that forever changed the course of my life. While nearing the peak of Eagle Cap with a fellow hiker, I broke our hour-long silence with a profound revelation—one that flew in the face of everything I was taught in church about a judgmental God looking down on me from above.
After several hours of upward switchbacks, filled with stunning vistas all around, I said, “If there is an all-knowing, omnipotent source to life, why on earth would He be looking down on me? Look at all of this beauty around us. The higher we go, the more flat it becomes as we look down.”
“If I were capable of creating all of this, I surely wouldn’t restrict my view to the flattened perspective of looking down on it all. I would look through the eyes of every one of my creations … it feels more natural to think that our eyes serve as walking webcams for a hive mind.”
Peter smiled in agreement, adding, “Actually, that’s exactly what my church teaches me. That we are all One. That all sage wisdom comes from the same source.” At the end of our six-day hike, the first thing I added to my calendar was to attend his church.
Not only did I attend, but by 2002, (just after this gig in The Bahamas) I became close friends with the senior minister, Mary, who I studied with more closely after the church closed in 2004. One of the most significant books she turned me on to was Working with the Law by Raymond Holliwell.
Though I’ve read many older books that teach portions of these laws, none have been as comprehensive—or as worthy of repeat readings—as this one, first printed in 1964. Though the examples and language are dated, the content is both timeless and priceless for the impact it’s had on my life.
If there’s one thing I’ve had to relearn every few years, it’s that my life grows exponentially greater every time I share the helpful principles from this book. In the past 10 years alone, I’ve returned to it no less than 100 times—mostly on audio while doing yard work. (Now affectionately dubbed “Working With the Lawn.”)
There has never been a book I’ve read more, yet I find myself extracting something new each time I study it. No matter how great things might be going financially, it might speak to your relationships. If your relationships are great, it might speak to your desire for a new career, better health, or financial freedom.
If you are receiving this, you are part of a seed group that I chose to personally curate. This inaugural course is free, but I would like us to commit to it as though we paid $1200 to participate. Why? Because as we study together, each one of us will both receive and contribute a vital role in our shared growth. There will not be a pen-rolling pitch, this class is truly free.
I am committed to making this more that worth your time. Worth more than the 1200. example stated above. My only request is that you do your best to attend each of these 12 dates, and make a connection with someone to share the content of any week you might miss.
I would like to limit this to seven or eight attendees. If you have a suggestion for another interested party, please check with me before inviting so that we can keep it small enough for 60 minutes to be enough.
NOTE: Calendar tool is for my studio business - you can ignore the prep notes, though the map may be helpful if this is your first time to the studio. If you could just book for the 10/1 appt for now, then I’ll try to save you the steps by adding you to the subsequent classes.

By early spring, I will decide if I want to expand on this for another group and request your assistance at choosing a price and extending the invitation.
I look forward to your participation and feedback. I’ve largely avoided teaching since 2018, but 2025 provided me an ineffable nudge to create and share this course.
Looking forward to growing as a group.
